From Friday morning:
I had my period 1 general music kids move all of the band equipment after the concert last night, and I gave them the last 15 mins of class to eat cookies. After eating cookies, they asked to practice guitar. As they were practicing, I was typing up a post-concert writing prompt for my band kids. I looked up and suddenly realized that they had organized themselves, and were all playing through Yankee Doodle, and then Amazing Grace together. They even counted Amazing Grace off with a 1-2-3 for the pickup!

I am a thoroughly impressed music teacher right now. Love it!
