Emergency Room Drama

So I cut up my pinky toe at work two nights ago. The funny thing is that I scraped my foot earlier in the day and didn't move the fixtures that injured me. So I scraped my foot again and I was walking back to the office area to get another band-aid when I looked down and saw lots of blood. So I took my shoe off because it was a nice shoe and continued to the back room. Alexa took a look and tried to clean it up but couldn't tell what was blood, toe nail, or toe so she suggested the emergency room. Jodi picked me up and off we went!
At the emergency room I was given a hot pink triage sign to hold so they knew to check me out and then track me. Luckily I was fast tracked and I was seen relatively fast. The doctor was obviously gay and had one of those generic band tatoos around his bicep that looked kind of spikey and bad ass. Ater cleaning off the cuts he just kind of sat there and stared... not sure what to do or how to fix it. Then he stabbed me with long needles that numbed my toe - that was the WORST of the pain. Then he proceeded to bend BACKWARDS a piece of my toenail and clean underneath it. He ended up cutting off that part of my toe nail. It might not grow back, so we joked about getting a discount on pedicures. He was fun.
Then he put in two stitches to hold the rest of the toe together. It seemed pretty amazing that I had cuts on top and on the bottom AND I managed to cut my nail in half. He seemed pretty impressed.
That's about it. Check out Jodi's flickr photos to see the toe. Faint of heart are not advised to look.
