Snow Day!

So I got a call at 5:45 today letting me know there was no school!!! YES! The only downside is that since I'm not a regular teacher but a long term sub, I don't get paid. Oh well. I am also excited because much like Danie Leahy, my car is a BEAST when there is ice or snow around. So, I drove Jim to work and I'm going to go do some errands.
School has been good - there are a couple of 8th graders I want to take the guitars from and beat them over the head with, but other than that, I'm feeling good. Getting organized, making weekly plans, studying scores. You know, music teacher stuff.
Feels good.

2nd Day of Observing

Before I head off to my second day of observing, I have to say.... I fell asleep at 9:10 last night. I'm a little sick, but mostly just exhausted. I forgot what school was like.

Finally my music education career is taking off. It's about FREAKING time.
