After listening to the misfortune of a close friend and colleague of mine having to do with parent conflict, can somebody please remind me in the future that when I'm in a state of professional crisis, to 'take it all with a grain of salt'?
I absolutely hate that phrase. However, I know that what I do in the classroom far outweighs all of the politics and the pressure of everything outside of my room. I just forget that fact when the politics make it impossible to to teach.
