What a year! This is my second year at my school, and after getting to be in school all day, I've grown quite attached to the staff and the students. The last day was an emotional one. Last year I taught mornings only, so I didn't get to say goodbye to people, but this year - it was amazing:
The entire staff lined up in the hallway on either side by the exit and clapped for all of the students until the very last one was out of the building! I know I'm looking elsewhere for a full time job, but it will be a sad day when I don't teach here anymore.
I'm happy to be helping out with summer school - I feel like after a week or so of sleeping in I'll be ready to go back. Looking forward to the first day of school already.
