So Jim and I have become mildly obsessed with his friend Brady's band La Strada, and we've seen them a couple of times in Burlington, but we travelled up to Montreal last Friday to see them. We were psyched because it was our first time using our passports - we're international jet setters now, if you didn't know!
So the band started at 8, and we left here at 6. We got to Montral around 7:30ish, and drove around trying to find the address the band's website gave. We mapquested it, so not a huge problem.
However, we got to the address, and it was a residential location.
Jim and I drove around, wondering what to do... just buy dinner and go home? Jim ended up texting Brady, and we got a new address and they acutally didn't start until 10. So after almost an hour of driving around the city, we found the right location, had some dinner, and saw a great show! It's exciting to see an audience who hasn't heard them, and to hear applause get louder, and hear the presence of more and more "woooos" at the end of a song.
I found a music video of them online - check it out at this site:
