I had my first interview in over a year last week. In the time leading up to it, I felt completely unprepared. I have been out of school for two years and I feel like I forgot everything I ever learned. I felt like I couldn't prepare enough, but when I sat down to actually prepare, I didn't know what to do. So I got to the interview, and it was extremely laid back. I conveyed to them that I had been out of college for two years and I realize now more than ever that teaching really is a passion for me and that working for them would be the perfect opportunity to get a head start. I think it was a great interview. I worry a little that they didn't ask me enough though. They said they wanted to make a decision soon, and it's been a few days and it's killing me.
I am in the middle of my first vacation in over two years as well. Why I haven't done this before, I don't know. It's soooooooooo nice staying up late and waking up late and getting stuff done that I couldn't do on a regular work schedule. It feels so amazing.
I have decided that it's time to do a regular game night once a week. I'm really getting into poker. I also want to buy catch phrase. That game is awesome.
